METHODS AND SPECIALIST EXTERNALS MASTERCLASSS
This year, XCV Tutoring will be running fortnightly masterclasses for Methods and Specialist. These sessions are aimed to guide and support students throughout their studies for Externals, by providing content refreshers, practice exams and support 24/7.
Your Lecturer:
Alex Fung!
Alex Fung [2024 Graduate and 99.90 ATAR] will be running both our Mathematical Methods [100/100 Score] and Specialist Mathematics [98/100 Score] lectures for 2025. He was one of 35 students in Queensland to be named a 2024 QCE Distinguished Academic Achiever, and was the 2024 co-Dux of Brisbane Boy's College. As a testament to his incredible achievements, Alex now studies a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne through the Chancellor's Scholarship.
Fortnightly Lectures
Our Methods and Specialist Lectures are held on alternating fortnights, with Specialist beginning on the 9th of August.
The lectures are 2.5 hours in total, split into two sessions:
Session One: 4:45 - 6:15 pm
Session Two: 7:00 - 8:00 pm.
Weekly Practice Exams
XCV Tutoring is holding a staggered release of resources across the months leading up to the Externals. Students can purchase these papers digitally through the XCV Shop.
However, students on the Externals Masterclasses will have free, complementary access to the papers with each lecture, saving students up to $240!
24/7 Support
Outside of the lectures, students can communicate with their lecturer and other tutors from our company at anytime via email.
Our lectures include a QnA session at the end of each fortnight. The selection of questions chosen are based on submissions made by students throughout the week, to ensure the content taught is tailored to them!
