ACE YOUR EXTERNAL EXAMS
Countless studies, personal anecdotes, and our own tutors say over and over again, that practicing exams in proper conditions is one of the most effective ways to study for your Externals. But, as previous students ourselves, we know how hard it can sometimes be to emulate exam conditions outside of class. Our 2024 XCV Mock Simulation is aimed to do just that, as well as provide students with a full Exam Paper that is unique to XCV Tutoring. Students will not only receive their scores from the exam, but follow up analytics and advice to help students tailor their future studies on their strengths and weaknesses.
MATHEMATICAL METHODS
The Mathematical Methods Mock Simulation will include two separate papers (Tech Free Paper One + Tech Free Paper Two). Each paper will be conducted over 90 minutes of working time, with 5 minutes of perusal time. Two online sessions will be conducted for the Mathematical Methods Mock Simulation:
Session One: Paper One [6th October 10am - 12pm] and Paper Two [6th October 2pm - 4pm]
Session Two: Paper One [5th October 6pm - 8pm] and Paper Two [6th October 6pm - 8pm]
SPECIALIST MATHEMATICS
The Specialist Mathematics Mock Simulation will include two separate papers (Tech Free Paper One + Tech Free Paper Two). Each paper will be conducted over 90 minutes of working time, with 5 minutes of perusal time. Two online sessions will be conducted for the Specialist Mathematics Mock Simulation:
Session One: Paper One [27th September 10am - 12pm] and Paper Two [27th September 2pm - 4pm]
Session Two: Paper One [30th September 6pm - 8pm] and Paper Two [1st October 6pm - 8pm]
SENIOR PHYSICS
The Senior Physics Mock Simulation will include two separate papers (MCQ and Short Answer Paper One + Short Answer Paper Two). Each paper will be conducted over 90 minutes of working time, with 10 minutes of perusal time. Two online sessions will be conducted for the Senior Physics Mock Simulation:
Session One: Paper One [23rd September 10am - 12pm] and Paper Two [23rd September 2pm - 4pm]
Session Two: Paper One [26th September 6pm - 8pm] and Paper Two [27th September 6pm - 8pm]
SENIOR BIOLOGY
The Senior Biology Mock Simulation will include two separate papers (MCQ and Short Answer Paper One + Short Answer Paper Two). Each paper will be conducted over 90 minutes of working time, with 10 minutes of perusal time. Two online sessions will be conducted for the Senior Biology Mock Simulation:
Session One: Paper One [30th September 10am - 12pm] and Paper Two [30th September 2pm - 4pm]
Session Two: Paper One [2nd October 6pm - 8pm] and Paper Two [3rd October 6pm - 8pm]
SENIOR CHEMISTRY
The Senior Chemistry Mock Simulation will include two separate papers (MCQ and Short Answer Paper One + Short Answer Paper Two). Each paper will be conducted over 90 minutes of working time, with 10 minutes of perusal time. Two online sessions will be conducted for the Senior Chemistry Mock Simulation:
Session One: Paper One [25th September 10am - 12pm] and Paper Two [25th September 2pm - 4pm]
Session Two: Paper One [28th September 6pm - 8pm] and Paper Two [29th September 6pm - 8pm]

COMPLIMENTARY SERVICES
XCV Tutoring's Online Mock Examinations will be conducted through an invigilated Zoom Call. Students will join a call at their designated time, with both their screen shared and camera on [only XCV Tutoring Staff can view these]. All students will be muted. These measures are used to prevent students from using external resources during the examination time. The time restriction used mimic the limits used in the official QCAA Examinations, allowing students to hone their time management techniques.
Our tutors provide annotations on the student's exam submission. If students did not receive full marks, we will provide suggestions on how their solutions could be structured, or what information to include to hit all the marks on the marking scheme.
All students who sit our Mock Simulation will receive a complementary document, including all of our top study tips and tricks, collated from our very own XCV Tutoring Team!
The relevant topic(s) for each and every question in our Mock Examinations will be noted in our Excel Spreadsheet, including the topics that are not covered. This will ensure students can identify and focus on the syllabus content they want to polish up on, and know which topics they can space out.
One week after the student has sat their Mock Examination, they will receive a message from our email (xcvtutoring@gmail.com), with a PDF and Excel Spreadsheet attached. Together, the documents aim to not only show the student's performance through their final mark, but ensure that they know their strengths and weaknesses, and how they can shape their future study to maximise their marks!

SMALL PACKAGE
Purchase either one or two papers to sit for a price of $30 each. Both papers will include sitting the exam, and receiving annotated feedback and performance analytics the following week!
BULK PACKAGE
Looking to sit three or more papers this year? Enjoy a complimentary 33% discount (from $30 to $20 per paper) from us! Please note that there is one paper for each subject, hence three of more subjects must be selected for this package.
